About Shred Nations
Shred Nations sells paper shredders from East McDowell Road in Phoenix, Arizona — cross-cut, micro-cut and auto-feed machines for home offices, small businesses and anyone who has to destroy documents properly rather than approximately.
Security level is a specification
Shredders are rated under DIN 66399, from P-1 (strips) to P-7 (particles small enough for classified material). Most home machines are P-3 or P-4. We publish the rating and the actual cut size for every machine we list, because “high security” on a box means nothing on its own.
Sheet capacity and duty cycle
Two numbers decide whether a shredder will annoy you. Sheet capacity is how many pages it takes in one pass — feed a 10-sheet machine 14 pages and it will jam. Duty cycle is how long it runs before it has to cool down; a machine rated for 5 minutes on and 30 minutes off is not going to clear a filing cabinet in an afternoon. Both are on every listing.
- Cross-Cut Shredders — everyday paper, mail and general office documents
- Micro-Cut Shredders — anything carrying a name, account number or signature
- Auto-Feed Shredders — stacks loaded once and left to run
What else the machine will take
Where a shredder accepts staples, paper clips, credit cards or CDs, we say so, and we say when it does not. Feeding a card into a machine not rated for one is the most common way these units die.
Buying and returns
Delivery timings, the free-shipping threshold and the returns window are on the Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy pages. Shredders are heavy; the shipping page explains how they travel.
